Court Reporting Institute of Louisiana (CRIL) is a court reporting school which opened in January 2000 for the purpose of educating men and women to work as judicial reporters, broadcast captioners, and CART providers. CRIL is licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Regents and adheres to the rules and regulations of the Louisiana Proprietary Schools Advisory Commission. CRIL also is accredited by the Council for the Commission on Occupational Education and is approved by the U.S. Department of Education to provide Title IV funding.
Court Reporting Institute of Louisiana currently employs 18 employees to provide students excellent services and opportunities to complete the program.
Our Mission
The mission of the Court Reporting Institute of Louisiana is to prepare students for Business and Information Technology careers. The institute aims to train students to become competent and proficient professionals. The mission of the court reporting program is to prepare students for passing the state and national certification examinations and to become employed as certified court reporters or to prepare students as broadcast captioners or CART providers.
